Vicki Van Mater is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications for Global Insight. She is responsible for coordinating all internal and external communications programs, media communications and outreach, and promoting Global Insight's unique capabilities. She has been with Global Insight since its inception.
Prior to joining Global Insight, Ms Van Mater was with Primark Corporation from 1985-2001, where she held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility, culminating in her appointment as Director of Corporate Communications. In this position, she was responsible for all internal and external communications and shareholder relations. Prior to this, Ms Van Mater served as Executive Assistant to the CEO of Primark at Primark's corporate headquarters in McLean, Virginia, where she handled communications, administration and logistics for this global company. She concurrently worked at subsidiaries headquartered in Boston and London, TASC (The Analytic Sciences Corporation), primarily a government contractor for information technology, and Datastream, an international financial information company, respectively. She participated in many of the acquisitions done by Primark, worked closely with the Primark General Counsel and Executive Secretary, and was the principal liaison with Primark's board of outside directors.
Before joining Primark, Ms Van Mater was executive assistant to the Vice President of East Aviation, a division of Egyptian American Transportation Services Association. She started her career at Award Crafters, a design and manufacturing firm, where she held several positions with increasing levels of responsibly over a 10-year period, including front office supervisor, head of purchasing, and principal account manager and designer for major government and corporate clients.
