As Executive Vice President Corporate Development-Europe at Global Insight, Johannes Lapré is responsible for initiatives, relationships, and partnerships throughout Europe. In addition, he is the president of Global Insight (Deutschland) GmbH and the product manager for "World Market Monitor" with worldwide responsibilities for design, development, management, and marketing of Global Insight's monitor product lines. The monitors are information systems designed to bring Global Insight's key data and analytical content on a particular topic into an application that is designed to make sophisticated analysis and reporting fast and easy.
Before his appointment to an EVP of the corporation, Lapré was a regional manager responsible for Global Insight's business in Northern Europe. Prior to joining Global Insight in 2001, Lapré created WEFA's monitor product line, including World Market Monitor, World Industry Monitor, and Global Tourism Monitor, while also acting as CEO of WEFA GmbH with responsibilities for business in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe.
Prior to joining WEFA, Lapré worked in organization and management information systems, research on the German healthcare system, business administration, and management consulting.
Lapré has a Master in Business Analysis from Saarland State, and graduated as Dr. rer. oec. from Free University Teufen, Switzerland. He has published numerous articles in business and news magazines, and is the author of "Origins of the New Economic Science." In 1994, the leading German news magazine, FOCUS, elected him as a member of the Board of the Artificial GERMANY AG.
